This project from my typography course exemplifies my ability to work with Adobe InDesign and create an organized and concise menu layout based on a grid system. I highlighted the restaurant’s primary colors of red, black, and white to design a visually stimulating and easily readable menu that matches the aesthetic of the sports bar atmosphere. I created a sushi graphic to easily distinguish which side of the menu contains sushi options and placed the restaurant’s logo into an oval to create a strong contrast between the logo and the rest of the menu. I used boxes to distinguish different sections of the menu and created a drop-shadow effect by overlapping text elements to make the section headlines stand out from the subheadings and body copy.
