These spreads are some examples of the work I did throughout my internship at George Washington’s Mount Vernon. In my role as Special Projects Assistant, I designed layouts that highlighted and compiled images from notable events, acquisitions, renovations, visitors, archaeological discoveries, and various accomplishments into concise, thoughtfully designed photo year-in-review books. These books are integral for having a visual representation of each year’s accomplishments to show to donors, employees, and friends of Mount Vernon while illustrating the beauty of the estate throughout each year. While following the brand guidelines set forth by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, I structured each page layout, added relevant information when necessary, and edited photos using Adobe Lightroom. I completed books for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
